DAI competition

Deaf Ambassador of Idaho sponsors a competition for Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth age 18 -30 within the Deaf community currently residing in Idaho.  Contestants will compete against each other to determine who will be the next Deaf Youth Representatives for the following 2 years.  Male or female will be selected.  The Representatives will work with Idaho Association for the Deaf (IAD) to implement a strategic plan what addresses a social issue(s) within the Deaf community identified by the individuals during the competition.  Moreover, the Representatives will represent the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community at presentations, workshops, leadership camps, and other events within the deaf community

How does it work?

There are five (5) rounds, plus a preliminary round - altogether six (6) rounds.  Each round has it own set of rules and instructions.  the preliminary round focuses on the applicant seeking a sponsor to support him/her during the competition (the applicant has to mention the name of his/her sponsor during the 2nd round).  The first two rounds (round 1 and 2) will occur prior to the biennial IAD convention.  The last three rounds (round 3, 4 and 5) will occur during the convention.

The activities in each round are subject to change.
